I hope you are all enjoying the fall season so far and have gotten to do some fun activities. Putting fall decor around the house is one of my favorite things to do when the weather starts getting chillier, I like to create that nice cozy warm feeling around my home! I enjoy swapping out items around the house every season and sometimes multiple times per season if there is a holiday I want to decorate for. If you are trying to get that homey autumn feel in your home and need some inspiration you have come to the right place! I’m listing out my top picks when decorating for fall.
Throw Pillows and Blankets:
What do you think of when you think cozy autumn weather? For me it’s blankets and cozy throw pillows! These items are a main part of giving your home that warm inviting feeling that comes to mind when you think of fall.
Table Centerpieces:
If you want to get that autumn feeling for your table a fall themed centerpiece is essential. I purchased this one from Pier 1 two years ago, I love it because it’s a candle holder! I buy tea lights and can set some ambiance in my dining room while I’m having dinner.
Table settings:
In the fall I put a darker tablecloth on my table and change out the place-mats to some more autumn toned colors. I always try to buy microfiber tablecloths because, you know messes happen 🙂
Fall Candles:
Anyone who knows me knows that I love candles, but for some reason I love buying the fall scents more than any other. I just stocked up a few weeks ago and may have gone a bit overboard! You can check out my full list of favorites here but a few that I have been really loving this year are:
- Pumpkin Butter – This is one of my new favorites, it is so good and it has a wood wick which make a very pleasant crackling sound.
- Thankful – This one is from bath and body works and has a nice smokey spicy smell, I thought it was delightful!
Decorative Pumpkins:
You can’t do fall without pumpkins of course. Lately these pumpkins have been getting cuter and cuter. You can place these around your home on table tops or on your front steps. I have a few by my entryway and also on tables and counters.
Hand Towels & Pot Holders:
I also like swapping out the hand towels in my kitchen and washrooms for the season. I don’t have fall ones for the washroom but I have some cute Halloween ones… and yes I have fall themed potholders, I couldn’t resist this cute little owl!
Those are all my favorite decor picks for fall! Decorating for the seasons makes it more enjoyable for me, I like to freshen up my decor with a few different elements here and there.
