A Fresh Start

Hello everyone, thank you for visiting if you’re new and welcome back if you’ve visited before! I am so happy to introduce my new blog.  After giving it much thought I decided to start fresh, and bring my blog back from blog purgatory (bringing something back counts as starting fresh right?).  I started CielNiteshade.com almost 2 years ago, it was my 3rd attempt at launching a blog, but I felt that I made a some mistakes and did not properly prepare, so I let it go… well kind of…

I wanted to start over again; and even though I kept the name I have removed all my old posts. So what else is different? Well a few things have changed, the most noticeable of course is the overall look and feel of the page.  

I have also moved hosts from WordPress.com to BlueHost .  You probably can’t tell but that is the biggest structural change I made here.  The main reason I moved is because BlueHost allows more features of wordpress to be utilized; but even though WordPress.com is a bit more restrictive it is much much simpler to use!

The BlueHost wordpress installation requires a bit more technical knowledge, but it can make a huge difference in getting the results you want out of your site.  The process of migrating was super simple too, they even provide a way for you to import all your posts from your old blogging platform! If you want to know how I was able to migrate everything over let me know in the comments below and I’ll write up all the steps I took to successfully move over. The other main thing I did was prepared a bit more this time around. I did a lot more planning, scheduling and really defined what I want this blog to be about.  It’s a lifestyle and fashion blog! I was a bit all over the place with my other one but for this one I’ve decided what I really enjoy and will focus on! So these are my LifeStyle Diaries and I hope you will come back and join me!
