How to Style Plaid Skirts

A few weeks ago I posted about my fall wardrobe essentials and I can’t believe that I did not include my all time favorite plaid skirt! This season plaid is definitely trending and although I do wear some plaid year round, in the fall I become obsessed with all the plaid things; shirts, skirts, mugs you name it. In this post i’m talking about the classic plaid skirt!  You can style a plaid skirt a few different ways. Here are a few of the ways I like to wear plaid skirts.

It can be cute and school girl look.  I paired it with a simple white button down shirt and my favorite creepers. I purchased these creepers last year and I love how versatile they are.:

It can be sophisticated with a blazer over it. Putting a blazer over a satin cami top makes this perfect for office wear. :

Edgy by throwing a leather or cropped moto jacket over it.  Black over the knee boots and a cropped moto style jacket give this a little bit of a cooler street style.  This skirt is from Shein and their sizes run a bit small, I normally am xs or s and I sized up to a large but I wish I would have gone with a medium as it actually is a bit big around my waist:

Make it look cozy with a sweater! I styled this with a soft creme colored sweater and knee high congac colored boots.  The boots I’m wearing in the photo are no longer available but I’ve linked similar ones down below!

Give it a classic look with a long cardigan. This is my favorite way to wear skirts! I love wearing cardigans in general.  This navy plaid skirt from Lulus is my absolute favorite!:
